  • Before your spray tan
  • Exfoliate: Scrub your skin 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells, paying extra attention to dry areas like elbows, knees, and ankles.
  • Shave or Wax: Do this at least 24 hours in advance to allow your skin time to recover and avoid irritation.
  • Shower: Wash your skin beforehand, but do not use any lotions, oils, perfumes, or deodorants on the day of your appointment.
  • Wear Loose, Dark Clothing: Choose something comfortable that won't rub against your skin and cause smudging.
  • After your spray tan
  • Wait to Shower: Allow the tan to develop for at least 4–6 hours, but waiting 24 hours will provide optimal results.
  • Avoid Getting Wet: Do not sweat, swim, or get your skin wet until the initial development time is over.
  • Moisturize Daily: Apply a moisturizer to help your tan last longer.
  • Pat Dry: When you shower, gently pat your skin dry instead of rubbing it.
